The Self-Ruqyah Reading Room

Foundational verses, authentic morning and evening supplications, and physical Sunnah routines you can practice in your own home right now.

In traditional Islamic practice, the primary person to recite over an afflicted individual is the individual themselves. You do not need an intermediary to call upon Allah. Sincere supplication from a desperate heart is answered directly.

Essential Quranic Verses for Protection

Ayat al-Kursi (Surah Al-Baqarah: 255)
The Greatest Verse in the Quran: The Prophet ﷺ taught that whoever recites it before sleeping, an angel from Allah remains to protect them until morning, and no devil can approach them. (Sahih al-Bukhari).
The Three Protectors (Al-Ikhlas, Al-Falaq, An-Nas) — 3x
Recite three times after Fajr and three times after Asr/Maghrib: The Prophet ﷺ said: "Recite them three times in the morning and evening; they will suffice you against all things." (Abu Dawud, Tirmidhi).
